More grungy flourishes, and my undying gratitude

IMG_0740
It's nearly the end of the week I gave myself to get you to fall in love with Gorgeous Grunge, Stampin' Up's trendy new stamp set that has given a few of you pause as you wondered what kinds of uses it could be put to. I hope I've convinced at least a few of you that this is a set you need to have in your repertoire! Click here to view it in my online store.

I had a lot of fun on this card. It started out the same way as this one, but then I added in Pool Party to the Soft Suede, Baked Brown Sugar and Very Vanilla color scheme. I used a Vintage Designer Button and added a 1/2 inch circle punch which exactly fit the center. I edged the round focal point piece with Baked Brown Sugar ruffled stretch trim–my favorite new ribbon!! It's so versatile and pretty. We also have faux stitching, Vanilla seam binding, the emboss-resist technique, and of course, lots and LOTS of sponging. The Gorgeous Grunge stamp set comes into play again as a background for both the focal point circle piece and the card base.

So that's the card…. now for my undying gratitude. Yesterday all the little pieces fell into place, and I promoted to Executive with Stampin' Up. For those of you to whom that doesn't mean anything, to give you an idea, it is seven levels up from where I started. Each level's requirements are more difficult to acheive, and involve a combination of my own sales, the number of people on my team, and the leadership makeup of that team. It's fairly rare for demonstrators to get to Executive, and I have been working on this four years now, so it means a LOT to me to have finally acheived that dream. I also get a big free product bundle with each new catalog that comes out, and I got a one-time cash bonus, and my Convention and Leadership registrations are free now, too. Amazing perks from an amazing company!

I love, love, LOVE what I do.

LOVE it.

And it's super fun to have a"shortcut" title that tells other demos at a glance that I've put in a lot of time and effort building my business.

But my favorite title of all is still just "demonstrator."

I am honored to be yours.

  10. I’ve been loving this week’s grunge! Pretty grunge, grungy grunge, you’ve covered it all. The hard part has been having to wait to order the stamps, as here in the UK we’ve had to wait until today.
Thank you for sharing: there’ll be a lot of case-ing going on here!
