Many Merry Stars Christmas Party

My area demonstrator team Christmas party was this last weekend, and we had such a good time. It never fails to move me how excited my ladies are to be together. I really think it has very little to do with actually crafting–it's the friendships they have made with the other women on the team that makes them jump at any chance to be in each other's company, no matter what we're doing. It makes me proud and humbled at the same time that this whole team has sprung from one little decision to get the Starter Kit ten years ago this spring. I'm so thankful for each and every woman God has brought into our group. Their care and concern for one another is touching. I am their mentor–but it is me who is taught.

I used my favorite new kit, Many Merry Stars, as the foundation for this holiday party's decor. The heavy kraft paper stars paired wonderfully with natural twigs and cranberries, cardinals, burlap and mason jars. I also used stars made using this easy 3-D star tutorial. It was cute and easy! Thanks to Cheryl and Kimberly for their help setting up.

Each attendee brought a 10-minutes-or-less project for everyone to make, so we all went home with 19 ideas for the spring. It was a nice break from the Christmas card grind! The time just flew by. Good thing we worked up quite an appetite, because everyone brought their A-game when it came to the potluck. We played games as we ate in order to save time to get back to stamping.

I can't believe it's over for another year! Nothing left to do but share the pictures and yummy recipes on our team facebook page, and play with the new goodies they won at the gift exchange. This year I surprised them with a "white elephant" gift exchange that they didn't have to bring a gift to–that wasn't really a "white elephant" either! There was some lively stealing going on as card kits and punch boards emerged from the wrapping paper.

I'd be remiss if I did not invite YOU, dear reader, to join us next year. I hope you'll consider accepting my invitation to become part of the Song of My Heart Demonstrator team. The only thing that could possibly make your Stampin' Up demonstrator experience event better would be to share it in the company of fantastic women such as these. Email me at Lyssa@songofmyheartstampers.com to get the skinny on how easy it is to start your stampin' adventure today, for just $99. Best Christmas present ever!
