Had to wait for these popular new stencils to come back in stock before I shared my samples! I didn't want to make you mad that I had them and you couldn't get them : ) Stencil masks are such an easy way to make AMAZING background papers, add interest to envelopes, and that certain little something to the edges of a plain card.

Thanks to the new Blending Brushes (also back in stock, hooray! Covid-era shipping is SUCH a pain!) stenciling is not as messy as it once was–and the ink blending results are absolutely gorgeous.

I made a little video of these techniques, if you have a moment for a little coffee break inspiration!

This color combo, though… it's really something. You've got to try it! Rich Razzleberry, Mango Melody and Calypso Coral (some had some Balmy Blue, too.) It turned out so well it's my team color combo challenge for the month!

Besides the stencils and blending tools like the sponge daubers, Blending Brushes, stipple brushes or sponges, INK PADS are the key here. The best way to get a big variety of colors is our Color Families: Regals, Subtles, Brights and Neutrals.

Buy ink pads in families and save over individual pricing!

What do you think? Will you be giving stenciling another look? It's actually an ancient technique used by multiple cultures over time. It's come a long way from the little country houses and hearts we used to have in our kitchens! Now it's a sophisticated-looking celebration of color and art. I love it!
