keepin’ it simple

DSCF0758 copy
Jettisoning extra luggage left and right these days as we try to survive VBS week, wind up all my stamp events and orders for the month and the end of the Stampin' Up year, and get ready for our vacation. it is all about keeping things SIMPLE and EASY for me right now! This card suits that theme pretty well.

I got to use my sadly neglected Confetti stamp set along with my much loved Mixed Bunch and matching punch combo on this Old Olive and Confetti White cardstock card. I like how springy it feels with just the green and white, with the satin a perfect addition just like the sash on an all-white Easter dress.

The saying (from the great set Perfect Punches) is embossed in white on Old Olive, and punched out with the Wide Oval. That touch makes it a more sophisticated card than it first appears. TIP: I usually stamp and emboss a whole sheet of those and punch them out and stick them in the stamp case for future use.

Got smart here and scheduled some posts for later this week! That will help me keep things simple! Hope you enjoy the inspiration I have lined up for you.

  1. Great idea to ‘pre-emboss’ an entire sheet. I love the look and results of heat embossing but I usually save it for special cards as it’s a lot more work – pre-embossing would be a major timesaver and allow more cards to get that special touch. Thanks!
