July Scrap A Stack

I had a lot of fun with this single page, featuring the Presto patterns specialty paper, the Five Petal Flower punch, and the Chic Boutique stamp set. The rhinestones arrived via UPS just in time to use on the flourish. The rest of the flower centers are done with Crystal Effects dots lightly sprinkled with Dazzlin' Diamonds glitter.

We made some great pages at Scrap A Stack Club last week, in spite of me… I don't know where my head was when I was packing, but it was not fun to open up my drawer for this next project and discover I had brought nothing but the 12×12 sheets and the DSP! Thankfully my long-suffering husband was available to run it across town. He's a keeper…

Yep, you saw that right (sorry about the blurry photo!), the headline reads "groovy." And as my aforementioned husband always says, "groovy is as good as it gets." When I saw the CRAZY paper pattern out of the DSP pack Greenhouse Gala, this page sprang to mind. I am not sure what the designer was thinking when they put this wild zig-zag print in with the beautiful florals in that pack, but I had a lot of fun with it anyway!

And of course, once I went down that 70's path, I had to add some fringe. We all agreed that the page was great, but the perfect touch would be the new owl punch.

That's the new Daffodil Delight narrow taffeta ribbon… notice how I used the yellow and orange very sparingly, toning down the intense design of paper by using a very dark brown  (Early Espresso) for the mats, and calming Baja Breeze as the main background color.

Can you stand one more blurry photo? Unfortunately I gave these projects away already and can't take new pictures. Hopefully you will get the general gist of them anyway. I must have had the camera on the wrong setting. At least the close-ups turned out well.

This is an awesome page for fitting in a bunch of photos or a sequence of photos. The grid is cool and the color scheme, of course, can't be beat–but the real kapow on this page is the headline.

We cut these letters from extra-thick Window Sheet on the Big Shot with the Serif Essentials alphabet. Since they're completely clear (awesome tone-on-tone effect) you have to get creative with the way you attach them. We used a single glue dot hidden behind the ribbon and rhinestone embellishment on each letter. The letters are lightweight, so they won't come off, and the page protectors will hold them down flat, so one glue dot is sufficient.

So there you go–some fun ideas to use in your next scrapping session!
