Didja miss me? See, I DO know how to take a vacation! My family has been in seven different states in the past two weeks, so I'm sorry things have been a bit sparse here at Song of My Heart Stampers. But you understand, I'm sure–even Facebook seems quiet these days, as we're all out there living the summer high life and seeing different parts of our marvelous country. It was a great way to spend the Fourth, actually! We sure are blessed to live in America.
We got home last night–always a relief to find everything safe and sound when you've been away for that long–and while I didn't actually stamp last night, as I often feel compelled to do after a long absence, I did get some orders unpacked. It took a long time for our house to cool down enough to sleep upstairs, because it was still 93 degrees when we arrived right at sundown! Whew! Everything is brown, brown, brown here! My poor garden–oi vey. It may not make it.
So today I went into the stamp room and made my own green growing things using a brand new set I got for FREE for winning a contest! It's called Flowering Flourishes. I thought it was so pretty when I saw it on page 121 of the new catalog, but it didn't make the cut when I ordered. And now here I get it for free–I love my job!
I used the butterfly and coordinating punch from Papillion Potpurri and a sentiment from the From My Heart stamp set to add some finishing touches, with a little Delicate Designs lace border embossed on the Big Shot and some Old Olive Scalloped Dotted ribbon. I used Raspberry Ripple, Pool Party, Old Olive and some highlights of Always Artchoke when I markered the flourish stamp.
Ok, back to catching up from being gone so long!
