If this wasn't such a girly card, I would definitely give it to my husband. I tell ya, ladies, I got me a gem. I won't make you flamingly jealous by listing all his admirable qualities or posting his picture, but my GOODNESS how I love that man!! And no, I didn't get hacked : )
But even "thank you from the bottom of my heart" is inadequate to express my gratitude for the wonderful man God ordained to be my spouse. I've been thinking a LOT (not to say obsessing) about how well we fit together, as we wait to hear whether or not the school will allow him time off to go to Fiji with me on the Stampin' Up incentive trip. While I honestly don't have much hope for that, it has served to make me even more aware of what a precious relationship I have been blessed with. It's sad how many people cannot list their spouse as their dearest companion. I hope YOU are blessed with a close friendship like that, dear reader, whether it is a spouse or a bestie! And I hope you express your thankfulness loudly and often, because our loved ones need to hear it.
Well, that was quite the sidetrack. I suppose you want to hear about the card, huh? : )
I used one of my very favorite wheel stamps, Very Vintage, with Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake cardstock, on a base of Soft Suede. I've been using up my wide satin ribbon as I make hundreds of cards this fall for my upcoming craft fairs, and this is a fun way to tie it (just a hint–mini glue dots are ribbon's best friend!). I know a lot of you might be wondering where the big scalloped circle mat for the main image came from, and it is part of the Petite Pennants die for the Big Shot.
OK! It's the first of the month and things are hoppin' in the SU world. Be sure to check out all my posts today to get the latest news and updates, and watch your mail for a newsletter, local ladies! Don't miss out on a great class or stamp camp due to inattention! Hope to see you soon.
Well…aren’t you all mushy? 🙂 I got me one of them too!!! Isn’t it AWESOME knowing how blessed we are?
it always warms my heart to hear about relationships such as yours! thanks for sharing!
