Home from Hawaii-- boo hoo!

I have severe jet lag, so this will be short, but I wanted to let everyone know we are home safe from Hawaii and happy to be back with our kids, if not exactly happy to be back shoveling snow again in good ole Wisconsin. It already seems like a dream… our week in paradise!
This picture was taken on our first morning in Hawaii, at the fabulous Hilton Waikoloa Village resort on the Kohala Coast about twenty miles from Kona. We had arrived in the pitch black the night before after a LONG day of traveling, just dead exhausted from being unable to sleep due to the turbulence. We just dragged ourselves to the room and collapsed, thinking to ourselves, this had better be GOOD tomorrow to make it worth all that!
And we woke up to THIS…. eighty degrees and perfect sunshine, the Pacific Ocean waves crashing right outside the front door and a misty volcano out our back balcony through gently waving palm trees and a cacophany of tropical birds. A girl could get used to this!
