Having fun with the Pennant Die!

Who would EVER have thought that one of the most versatile dies in the Big Shot book would be this pennant die?? Not me! When I first saw it at Convention, I thought right away, no way will I ever buy that die. It's too limited in it's use. Even after Shelli showed us all the things they'd already discovered you could make with it besides just banners, I still didn't even consider it. Well, I'm sure eating crow pie now! I LOVE this die and I have not run out of ideas for things to make with it!
I'm particularly proud of the above projects because they were right out of my own little head, with no influence from anyone else (although I did try to convince Tandra that she needed to make the carrot purse up for me because I was too lazy to make it myself.) Anyway, I posted about the carrot purse a week ago and I am very sorry that was the last post for a terrible long time! In my defense, I have had a club and FOUR workshops this week and I was totally swamped. We also had teacher conferences in there, too. What a week! It was FUN but very, very tiring. I am working my behind off in hopes of earning a free cruise for two to the South Caribbean next year! Our free trip to Hawaii is in just 22 days, too, so that gives me extra motivation right now.
So back to the photo–the rabbit ears are a modified Whisper White large pennant, just as described in the Carrot Door Hanger post–only even more modified (if you've tried this, you'll know what I mean). They are very tall and narrow. They are lined with Pink Pirouette and stapled to a matching headband. I then adhered all those little scallops around the headband. Cotton balls or white felt might be cute, too! But this was so quick and easy. I couldn't wait to show the teachers at my Big Shot club.
Almost forgot about the Leprachaun's Hat! That is a pennant cut from green felt. The bottom (top) of the pennant is folded up and inch to form the brim. I added a Basic Black belt with a buckle of gold (doesn't show up well here). A cute little shamrock made from three heart punches from the new Heart to Heart punch was the perfect finishing touch!
