Gettin’ tropical at Incredible Cards Club

We had such a great night on Monday at Incredible Cards Club, starting off with this fun summery card using the new Tropical Party set and the s-w-e-e-t Square Lattice embossing folder from the Summer Mini Catalog. It's a Z-fold card, as you can see in the second photo:

This card was a tribute to the color retirement, using all non-returning colors–Dusty Durango, Close to Cocoa, Crushed Curry and Taken With Teal. The tree was inked directly with two markers, then stamped. The beach and waves were done by masking off and sponging the different layers.

A second project was this vintage tribute using Elements of Style and the new Smooch Spritz from the Summer Mini. It was a little sneak peek of some of the techniques and products we will be using at the Vintage Nouveau class this Tuesday night. There is ONE spot left if you are interested! Basic Gray and Bodering Blue (retiring) were the choices for this monochromatic look.

Elements of Style is one of the stamp sets that will get you a free pack of Designer Brads with purchase this month! Click here for the complete details.

Just for fun, on the final project, we tackled one of the Make N Takes from the cruise. This card uses the adorable little Bitty Buttons and coordinating itty-bitty punches set, also from the Summer Mini. Boy, I sound like a broken record, don't I? Summer Mini this, Summer Mini that. Can you tell I am in love with it?

This picture doesn't show them well, but we used two upcoming NEW Core Colors on this project–Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight. They ROCK and they fit in perfectly with our existing colors. I predict all five of the new Core Colors are going to be smash hits this coming year! Click on the New Colors link on the right sidebar to see the new color lineup.

It is SUCH an exciting time of year to be a demo, I can hardly stand it. Yesterday they announced that we are in double points mode for the Alaska cruise. I am SOOOOOOO close I can taste it!!! Help put my out of my misery and place an order, will ya? : )  www.lyssa.stampinup,net
