I like the farmhouse style a lot, although nothing can induce me to paint my walls flat white… I do appreciate mixing rustic finishes and antiques in with my decor, and always have. But for cardmaking–bring on the clean white farmhouse!
The milk can full of red berries was a little stark by itself, so I warmed up this fall card with some of the red plaid check (my fave pattern) from the Toile Tidings holiday papers. Simple to color, easy to lay out, nice and flat for mailing–this is a great card to keep in touch with loved ones during the autumn season and holidays.

I can't believe how fast October has flown! We're supposed to get snow tonight, believe it or not. Not super unusual for our area. I am not against snow, I just don't want anything to hurry away autumn! I can never get enough of that glowy-gold color that floods our front rooms during fall, from the big side-yard tree that dwarfs our house. And the maple in the back yard, always the last one to let go, in a sudden shower of color that carpets the small, sheltered yard several inches thick.
We'll see what tomorrow brings! More fun stampy inspiration, that's for sure.
I like the sweet simplicity of this card. Did you free hand the berries?
