I know you don't want to hear my excuses for not blogging every day this week–but this girl's been BIDZY!! I think I told you at the start of Sale A Bration that I had 41 events planned for January through March, so you can't say I didn't warn you. I only have 15 of them left after this morning, and four of those days are at the Craftin Cabin–which is way more fun than actual work, once you get there–so I am looking forward to a little slowdown here in a bit.
And of course, when I'm doing that many shows in a row, Not only is there less time to blog, there's less time to stamp something to blog about! But I have been squeezing in some creating time between running hither and yon. These scrapbook pages are part of the projects for my Scrap A Stack Club this week.
I thought I was so tired of hearts and red-colored projects now after the Valentine's Day frenzy, but as I started pulling this spread together, knowing I wanted to use the Glimmer Paper for the heart on the headline, I tried to keep it fresh with Basic Gray and some splashes of Bashful Blue. Love the way the First Edition Specialty DSP looks as photo mats.
Whoa, how's that for a closeup? I know ya'll asked for more closeups, but that might be a little excessive! I used the Tasteful Trims die (I have gotten more good out of that die than just about any of the ones I own!) for the wavy rick-rack and then added heart punches in a variety of sizes and papers. I pulled out every heart punch I own for this one–the Full Heart, Heart to Heart, and Small Heart.
Took the tiny "you" from a stamp in the set called Bring on the Cake, in the 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog, and added one of the tiny clear acrylic domes from the Build A Brads over the top. They give you extras in that little tin of embellishments, and it's very fun to have the clear "bubbles" to play with. Just adds another little layer of texture and detail.
So there you go… I have NOT been sitting around eating bon-bons and watching soaps, as my husband might tell you. STAMPING and eating bon-bons, yes. But the bon-bons are all gone now, so… work has come to a grinding halt, natch.
I have been checking for posts, but I know you well enough to know if there aren’t posts you are SUPER BUDZY! Glad you are on the home stretch of your events for SAB! Besides, never apologize for working your business or living your life!
