Hello friends! I’ve been decorating for weddings and other special events pretty much my whole life! I’m now pleased to hang out my shingle as a floral designer in the Watertown, Wisconsin, area. I can do any sort of event from banquets to baby showers, and the entire gamut of wedding styles from a completely unique, Instagram-worthy outdoor party to a formal church wedding with all the traditional pomp–and anything in between. I can work with ANY budget from as little as $50 to $5,000 and up!

Are your creations real or silk? I can do either, although the advantages to faux are many; first, it’s cheaper, as well as being able to be resold or repurposed after the event. Second, it’s always in season! So if your heart is set on one specific flower or color, you can get it year-round. Third, faux flowers are easier to work with because they’re sturdier, which also means they won’t wilt halfway through your big day.
I know lots of brides have their hearts set on real flowers and I have a great compromise (that also smells wonderful!) We can create the bases of all your arrangements from faux, then the morning of the event I’ll slip real flowers in to finish them off. You’ll have the best of both worlds, at a fraction of the cost of fresh.
If fresh is your plan, then we’ll both get a treat. Real flowers are a delight to work with, very special indeed. The exception is lavender; I’m allergic to it, so I’m not your gal if you decide to use fresh or dried lavender!
How much does it cost? That depends entirely on what your budget is! I will help you visualize the possibilities available based on your priorities, your venue and your theme. Being flexible with your choice of basic greens, choose more than one flower to highlight, and having more than one color to work with will help keep costs down. Working within the season surrounding your wedding date will reduce shipping or transport costs, too, as more things will be available locally.
I promise you’ll be thrilled with the creative process and the finished product alike. I know tons of tricks to fill space and little touches make things look elegant and luscious even on a budget. It’s going to be gorgeous!
If money is super tight, let’s talk about renting your flowers! This option has the added advantage that you won’t have to deal with all these at your house or apartment after the wedding. You won’t have to try to sell them afterwards to another bride. It will just be all taken care of for you. No stress!
Do you handle funeral tributes? Yes, I’m experienced in working with memorial services and have made many meaningful celebration of life pieces as well as tasteful funeral luncheon centerpieces, in the loved one’s favorite colors or theme. We can create large or small casket sprays, freestanding cemetery wreaths with easel, and headstone toppers, as well as incorporating urns, memorial lanterns, Bibles and hymnals as desired.
Unlike traditional florists, I don’t mark up the price of the arrangements just because you need it quickly. I’ve always felt that was unfair to the family. However, since time is of the essence with funerals, please try to allow 48 hours’ notice in advance for my one-of-a-kind memorial pieces.
What about more everyday types of arrangements? I absolutely love designing for a surprise fresh bouquet delivery, or helping you get just the right decor piece for that particular spot in your house. My favorite challenge is to be handed a container or vase you love and to come up with a beautiful, special arrangement you will enjoy for years to come.
I can also rejuvenate old floral arrangements you still want to keep by cleaning them, replacing the moss or foam as needed, removing damaged petals and repairing or replacing the containers.
