I LOVED the laser-cut lace sheets in the last catalog (and the pink ones in the spring mini catalog!) and was so excited to see a new set in the new book. I think this is my favorite of the bunch, because it's not only vanilla on one side and white on the other, the vanilla is SHIMMERY!!! It doesn't show up in the photos, but in person it's just so pretty and sophisticated.
Plus–unlike glitter–it won't get all over everything. Awesome!
I sat down to cut into those lovely 12×12 sheets last week when my wedding card stash was low. It was my first time playing with the set Bloom & Grow, too, and I liked how it paired up! I chose poppies as my theme because the gorgeous red made me happy on (yet another) rainy day.
This first card is a great example of partial fussy-cutting. I only trimmed around the bottom of the floral spray. Half the work and twice as cute!
My second card is FANCY!! This time I fussy-cut both top and bottom floral sprays, and colored in the middle area.
Between coloring and hand-cutting I only got two cards made this session, but I did emerge pleased and perked up, which is the point anyway, right? Crafting really is therapeutic!

What sort of cards do you need to make next? I need a bunch of anniversary cards!! June always depletes my stash. And that gives me another excuse to play with the laser-cut paper : )
