Easy “no-fussy-cutting” butterfly card

IMG_8698

If you know me, you know am NOT a fussy-cutter. I have zero patience for super-detailed hand-cutting even though I own the best scissors on the planet for that particular task (see them here). So when Stampin' Up comes out with new Framelits that coordinate perfectly with their stamps, I sit up and pay attention!

This gorgeous bundle is not getting the attention it deserves around here because it's in the main catalog and not the glitzy new spring one. We're too distracted by the newest shiny thing! But I wanted to share this bright monochromatic card and color scheme with you today. Here's some FUN suggested color combinations for you!

Notice anything fun about this chart? That's right, if you read it from left to right, you have monochromatic color schemes (also called ombre). But if you read it up and down, it has some super fun multiple-color combinations to try, in brights, subtles, and de-saturated tones. Isn't colro theory fascinating? I love it. And I love you guys for being just as crazy about color as I am. : )

Have a great day, friends! Thanks so much for stopping by Song of My Heart today. YOU MAKE ME SMILE!
