Easy Double Crate Treat Holder

Wood Crate double treat holder Sizzix Stampin Up Lyssa wooden kraft thinlets dies

I shared a quick and cute treat holder at our team meeting this month and wanted to show you all how easy it is to make with the Wooden Crate thinlets. All you need is two (assembled) crates, the Classic Label punch, and a couple of pieces of Designer Series Paper.

Make the two crates as directed on the thinlet packaging, then choose patterned paper to coordinate. I used Crumb Cake cardstock for my crates and the new Foil Frenzy metallic-embossed papers for my fall-themed treat project. Cut a piece that is 7 inches by 3 and one-eighth insides. Score in half (4.5 inches). Fold in half.

About half an inch from the folded end, insert the Classic Label (or if you have the old Word Window, that works, too) and punch through both layers to form the handle.

Hold the two crates together and adhere the open ends of the paper to the inside back-to-back crates, as shown. I used Tear & Tape, but you can use Tombow Multi or any other strong liquid adhesive. Regular SNAIL will not hold for this project.

Then, cut two pieces for the sides, measuring 1.75 x 3.25. Adhere to ends of crates. Decorate with die-cut leaves from Colorful Seasons, like I did, or anything else that fits your event's motif!

Thanks for stopping in today! I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment.

  1. What a darling idea Lyssa – thank you for sharing! I can’t wait to make a few little gift crate totes to hand out to some special people just because.
