What on earth could Stampin' Up possibly do that would top our week at Disney on the incentive trip 2012? We were told we were going to a stunt show and to dress casually–but we didn't know it was going to be totally personalized to Stampin' Up!
I probably wasn't the only one that was a little nervous seeing Shelli so close to those punjab spears! The kids and mom and I had visited the Indiana Jones stunt show at Disney's Hollywood Studios earlier in the week, and I was really glad I hadn't missed the regular show, because I could appreciate all the little changes they made to it on our behalf. Such as picking all demonstrators for the volunteers, walking our CFO through a faux death scene, and having the real "Indy" disappear and then reappear and turn out to be our president, Rich Jutkins, in costume!
The stunts and the industry jokes were awesome enough, but then the two halves of the set parted and we began to realize what was in store for us… a fantastic Morrocan banquet, complete with bellydancers, a DJ, costumed characters and chefs right there on the stage! It was perfectly astounding! Unfortunately not very many of my pictures turned out, due to the crazy lighting, but I got a few… no good food ones, and that is a pity, because it was divine! My favorite was the white cheddar and truffle macaroni and cheese. We also had mahi-mahi and prime rib along with a whole host of other scrumptious sides and salads. I was stuffed before we even made it to the dessert buffet, which could have been dinner all by itself! And the tablecloths were new fabric from Stampin' Up, from the International Bazaar collection–fitting!
The most fun part of the evening for me, though, was the Indiana Jones photography stations. They took pictures of you in different positions and then photoshopped in a background from the movies, all for free. It was a riot! Some of my demo friends are pretty good actors! Mom and I also got our pictures taken with Mickey and Minnie, over to visit from Animal Kingdom.
My picture with Jasmine, Aladdin and Jafar turned out really goofy, but this one of my friend Desiree and her husband turned out great! It was just a surreal evening. I told Shelli I could not imagine how they could top this, EVER. It was the perfect ending to our whirlwind Disney trip. One last spectacular, spoil-your-socks off event.
Squeee!!!!!! Can hardly believe I was there!! Thanks for sharing the photo 🙂
