Designer Cuts–a blank canvas for creativity

Cleaning off my desk, I rediscovered the packages of Very Vanilla Designer Cuts Cards & Envelopes I ordered from the Occasions Mini Catalog (page 9). Here's two cards that I whipped up in no time with just a little stamping and a little embellishing!

This first one was inspired by the envelopes themselves, which are ultrasmooth Blushing Bride colored paper. So I backed the lace border card (there are two designs, the other one is shown here) with some Blushing Bride cardstock and stamped a sentiment and some flowers from the new wedding set, Love & Laughter. Then I put a strip of the yummy new pleated satin ribbon on it, and tied a Trinket Heart charm on with the new Coral Calypso Baker's twine (TIP: used in small doses, the coral pink color goes with just about any of our pinks!).

The lacy border is just crying out to thread the new skinny Sale A Bration organdy through it, I think! I used the Lucky Limeade colored ribbon and lined it with Pear Pizzazz cardstock behind, and Pear Pizzazz ink (same Love & Laughter set). You can't see in the photo, but I used the new Edgelits to make a cute edge on the inside of the card, too. Why not?

Then I finished it off with a pretty little pearl medallion made from some of the new Large Basic Pearls clustered with some of the regular small ones. This card will definitely need to be hand-delivered. You can see the Trinket Hearts and the Large Pearls on page 26 of the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog.

Sale A Bration hasn't officially started yet, but I am taking advance orders beginning today, to be placed when the sale goes live on the 24th! So put together that Occasions Mini order and choose your SAB rewards for every $50 spent, and email it to me at zwolaneks@att.net. Let's get this party started!

I Love Stampin' Up!
