Day of Gratitude with Big Shot Leaves #2

I got a new die for my Big Shot this month, just in time for Big Shot Club! Here are a couple of the projects from last night. We started with this card–Cajun Craze, Old Olive and So Saffron–and went to town with the texture, using both the Square Lattice folder and the Vintage Wallpaper folder. The leaves are kind of flat and boring by themselves, but boy do they POP with texture added!

Here's a quick napkin ring prototype that I made up. I am so excited that I will be hosting Thanksgiving this year. It's my favorite holiday, and pretty much the only time the linen napkins get used in this house! I have beautiful cranberry colored serving platters that hardly get touched all year, too.

And on the front door that day will be this little wreath–

I feel like I have already gotten my money's worth out of the Leaves die, and I haven't even really gotten going yet! I think I will make a garland with fishing line (like I did the butterflies for the Mother-Daughter banquet and string some around. And I definitely want to make a "jumping in the leaves" page for Scrap A Stack Club…. lots of fun ideas percolating for these leaves!

  1. I like the napkin rings a lot. I’m having fewer folks this year, I might try doing that. Haven’t used the leaves die nearly as much as I planned. Thanks for the great ideas.
