Crazy Mixed Up Love

I let Natalie choose a stamp set when I placed my first order from the new Idea Book this year, and her choice made me giggle. She chose Crazy Mixed Up Love, a punny set with cartoon images… and has been cheerfully making little love notes for her grandparents and friends since it arrived. After I helped her put it together, I made some cards with it, too. This blender one is my favorite! I used the splatter stamp from the Paper Pumpkin "Welcome Kit" to make it look like, well, my kitchen, after *I* use the blender!

Ignore the crooked stamping on this next one… ahem.

Both cards use a Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush and Whisper White color scheme, with the addition of Smoky Slate on the blender card and Midnight Muse on the lava lamp card. Ugh, that stamp is SO crooked… how come I never notice these things until they are larger than life up on my computer screen? Sorry about that, guys!!

I also got to try out the new Candy Dots embellishments for the first time. Love them!! They're so easy to use, and you don't have to worry about the sharp prongs of the brads sticking through the back of your cardfronts anymore. Pkus, they're nice and flat, flatter than brads by a long shot, so they should go through the mail MUCH more easily than brads did. What a great improvement!

  1. A couple of workshops ago I was making a card and got the inky edges around the sentiment on the cardfront. I took a huge step and DIDN’T redo it, and used it as my demo card still. It was an amazing thing for my friends & fellow stampers to see that I make mistakes too…(Hahaha!!!). I told them I make them ALL the TIME, just use the trash can and have access to more supplies. I’m SO glad to see you are a normal stamper too! 🙂 Love the inspiration you provide every day! Thanks.
