Christmas Club bling

I've been designing for the October and November sessions of Christmas Club and my annual Christmas Card Stamp A Stack on November 10th, and my craft room looks like a glitter grenade went off!

But these two particular cards hardly "shed" glitter at all, because I used the oh-so-convenient Glimmer Paper for these die-cut snowflakes, which looks like you spent hours with glue and Dazzling Diamonds, but really takes about half a minute. Glimmer paper is the busy crafter's best-kept secret! Or anyone who loves glitter but will be driven completely nuts by all the random specks you'll be finding for months to come, despite repeated vaccummings.

Here is two versions of the same Greetings of the Season card… one in Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple, for a fun updated version of the Christmas red and green… and one in Bashful Blue and Midnight Muse, because it's just hard to beat good old blue and silver when you're dealing with snowflakes. Speaking of snowflakes, if you only get one thing from the Holiday Catalog (heaven forbid!), it ought to be the new Snow Flurry Bigz die for the Big Shot. It is gorgeously detailed yet pops out easily after cutting, and you can layer the three varieties of snowflakes in different ways for completely different looks.

Glimmer Paper comes in three shades now (Silver and Red are joined by Champagne on page 18 of the 2012 Holiday Catalog), in 12×12 sheets in a two pack for just $4.95. You can cut it, punch it, tear it, die-cut it and even emboss on it, and the mess is extremely minimal. It's the perfect way to add a lot of holiday KA-POW to your projects in very little time and with very little fuss!
