Big fan of plaid here, although I never wear it! I am loving the classic plaids and buffalo checks in all the holiday home decor this year. It is just a pleasantly warming texture and a shortcut to "cozy." The new Perfectly Plaid 6×6 paper stack from Stampin' Up! is my go-to paper this Christmas. I like how each plaid has a metallic foil accent running through it.
I paired my plaid with kind of an unlikely candidate as I was looking for just the right third tree for my trio. The Noble Peacock specialty embossed foil cardstocks had a blue pattern that was perfect, and adds a nice counterpoint gleam to the gold.
Ignore my crooked stamping here… I wanted to show you the inside of this one.
Half the front cover of the card has been removed (2.75 x 4.25) and a piece the same size has been turned sideways and adhered back on the remaining front. That lets the inside lower right sentiment show through when the card is closed.
It looks like a complicated fancy fold but takes virtually no effort beyond a regular card. Fun!
We're making this in my local Christmas Club tonight here in Watertown. But you can make it at home! Here's what you'll need to order:
