It's mass-production time for me, starting tomorrow! My last customer event of 2012 is tonight. Then we say goodbye to Christmas Club for another year! Once my customers' Christmas card needs are taken care of, and my craft shows and special orders are done, I kick into high gear creating my own family cards for the holiday.
Because I have stampin ADHD, I tend to make MANY different designs each year. When you need over 200 cards and you have a short attention span, all sorts of things catch your eye and beckon you to try them! The three cards in this post all came about because of a cute set of polka-dotted scraps from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper stack in the Holiday Catalog.
The top card is the easy one… and here's the stepped-up version, with more layers and some bling. The focal point and embellishment are identical. The card bases are Naturals Ivory.
The "present" is the one-inch square punch wrapped in Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. I wanted to work in Summer Starfruit somehow, yet still retain the Christmas feel. I think I did–what do you say?
Here's one more I made with those scraps… I like the clean, 1950's feel of this one. Love how the gingerbread stamp and coordinating Big Shot Framelit look like a yummy cookie waiting to be eaten!
Stay tuned for more holiday ideas! On December first, I will be starting a fun new blog series called "The Procrastinating Crafter's Guide to Christmas Glam", which I can't wait to share with you!! It will be an every day, two-week series of quick and cute Christmas ideas you can whip up in no time and make it look like you meticulously planned ahead and labored long over handmade holiday delights.
Using convenience items and things you already have on hand, with no project taking more than a half hour max, you'll be able to personalize your family Christmas in no time with the PCGCG series–even if you haven't given the holidays a thought up to this point! We procrastinators have to stick together, you know! I've got your back!
