Just in case you haven't heard, the specialty papers from page 158 are leaving us this month. I have really enjoyed working with the Bride papers, shown above. They are so cool–you can stamp, sponge, brayer or watercolor any shade you want on top of them, and the embossed pattern stays white (or vanilla, in the case of Bridesmaid, or black, in the case of Groom). It's kind of a like a "look ma, no hands" kind of emboss-resist technique.
So for these cute Chic Boutique cards (yes, there's that set again!) I just sponged the color I wanted (Bashful Blue) onto the paper. It perfectly matched my card base and the super soft satin ribbon from the Summer Mini catalog.
I made these cards and several others to go in a little stationery set to welcome my latest team member, Penni Litwiller. I'm looking forward to getting to know Penni as we work together to get her business going!

Stampin' Up has a brand new kind of die called a Clearlit in the upcoming catalog. It makes this great rectangle shape, and it's clear so you can see exactly where you're placing it to center it on a photo or stamped image. I was very pleased to discover that it fits the definitions from Define Your Life perfectly! I've always wished we had a punch that big, but a Big Shot die is even better!
My husband took one look at the "happy" definition and told me it had "pink" in it so I should be making girl cards instead of boy cards. I promptly left him in charge of the children for another hour while I created some vintage girl baby cards. See, I am an obedient wifey!
Oh Lyssa! Those Eiffel tower cards are amazing! I love them, wish I had some bridesmaid DSP!!!! I may have to improvise! Really fabulous!!!
