Blushing Bride and Printed Petals

DSCF4831 copy

I'm hosting a shoebox swap on Monday for my downline and any area demos who want to attend, and this is my card for it. I used Blushing Bride (an upcoming In Color) as the base and ink color, with Crumb Cake (formerly known as Kraft) for the accent color. I love the way the little Sizzlet buttons fit just right in the flower centers of the Printed Petals set! That set is going to be a favorite out of the new catalog for sure. Hopefully the ladies like my card.

Some of you are probably wondering what in the world a shoebox swap is. Well, simply put, you design a card and cut out enough for each of the participants to make one. You put all the supplies, stamps, accessories, etc, to make it in a cute shoebox or basket, and set them out on tables. Then everyone goes around and makes one of each at their own pace. The only rules are it must be 100% Stampin' Up and you should use our fun new products if you've got them. It's a great way to get a large number of samples in a short amount of time, plus it's wonderful practice for new demonstrators in how to plan and prepare for a show. it's been such a hit I am considering hosting one for non-demos, too!

If you're interested in joining my team, or you're an area Stampin' Up demonstrator who would love to join the fun, you are more than welcome to attend the shoebox swap on Monday, June 14th. It will be here in Watertown and starts at 6:30 p.m. Email me for more details!
