New stamps are in da house!!! I got my demonstrator preorder goodies last week and had a little bit of time to play that day. I couldn't resist using them in the class I was holding the next evening!
The class featured the Stampin' Blends alcohol-based markers and the eight of us had a great time practicing on stamped sheets for the first hour, then making these three cards.
Before I put everything away for the night, I made a video so you can see them, too!
Aren't those roses just too gorgeous? I love that I can have as many roses as I want in any colors that I want–stamps are so cool, aren't they? The Hues of Happiness suite will be available when the new catalog begins on May 3rd.
Forgive my horrible fussy-cutting–I am currently two weeks into wearing a 6-12 week thumb/wrist brace 24/7 due to De Quervain's tenosynovitis. It's a pain… literally…. makes everything so much slower and more awkward, including writing and typing. But the worst thing so far is not being able to use my lovely paper snips because they don't fit over my thumb! I have been in pretty severe pain for quite some time now, so it was definitely time to bite the bullet and immobilize it. Can't heal when it's just re-injured constantly.
Yes, more new stamps!! This is from the Sun Prints suite (wait until you see it!!!) And we practiced shadowing with the Crumb Cake Blends on this card. Even if you're not into alcohol markers, I think everyone needs at least the Crumb Cake ones to do this technique as it really pops your florals right off the page. Get them here
