Couldn't want to show you my pretties today… I've been playing with the Blendablities!!! Crazy about these new alcohol-based coloring markers. They take a little practice, but the results are worth it. I made this card using the Blended Bloom single stamp and a couple of stamps from the Kinda Ecelectic set. Scroll down for a complete supply list at the bottom of the post.
I know some of you have been wondering if you really need another marker… so I made a little chart to show you the difference in results from our three most popular coloring options.
I have always considered the Aquapainter with ink refills my first choice to get shading and depth, and it's pretty, but it's hard to get deep colors or a sense of vibrancy. You can also over-work the paper sometimes and then it just turns into a big mess. The regular markers we sell, with a brush tip and a journaling tip, aren't great for shading–too solid–but you'll still want them for coloring directly on the stamps themselves and for simple coloring projects. The Blendabilities, however–holy cow! You can tell the difference right away in the depth and intensity of color. They're super easy to blend, so even beginners (like me, honestly!) can start seeing beautiful color variation and visual dimension right away.

I really like your comparison chart, that’s so helpful to see the difference among the coloring tools! And I love how you stamped the leaves so that they are coming out from behind the tag, two layers behind the flower. It really gives depth to your card. Great work!

They are both very nice cards! I think I like the second (horizontal) one a little better. Something about the pretty bloom being balanced by all the nice stamping on the other side of the card. 🙂
