Black Lace and Pink Taffeta

It's really hard to beat a good pink and black color scheme, in my book! I just love pink and black, or pink and chocolate brown. It just never goes out of style. So when I saw the full sheets of black lace patterned papers in the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper Pack, I knew right away I'd be cutting into it first.

For this first card, I hand-cut the bottom edge of the paper to follow the line of the lace scallops. It's not perfect, but it's close enough that I didn't feel like I needed to go and cut around each individual bit of lace. Then I laid down a strip of Tear N Tape adhesive (new and amazing!), ruched my Pink Pirouette seam binding ribbon onto it, and turned a silver Metallic Foil Doily to the back side and colored it pink to match. Easy! Use your Stampin' Write markers to change them any color you want.

This second pink and black card, also from my Inspire. Create. Share presentation at Convention 2015 last week, is even easier. It's just a 2×5.5-inch strip of the Timeless Elegance paper with two half-inch by 5.5 inch strips of Blushing Bride on top and bottom. Then I just made a little Note Tag Punch using the Me=Grateful stamp set and accented it with a flower from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and one of the new Metal-Rimmed Pearls (self-adhesive, love it!) I think it just makes the card.

What about you? Do you have a color scheme you just dearly love? I'm challenging you to make a card in that color scheme this weekend! Do it–you know you need your cup filled. Stampin' and creating is the perfect way to add back in a little balance to your life.
