We're back! Welcome to the first day of the Best Ever Monster Bash with my crafty BFF Penni and me! We've collaborated on a collection of creepy cuteness for your Halloween inspiration. We have tons of fun every year coming up with EASY projects for you!
if you're not a Halloween fan, we'll be back to our regular Song of My Heart style projects after this week.
We are starting off with a BANG! Penni made the coffin wreath shown on page 52 of the 2019 Holiday mini catalog. It's hard to see in the photo, but it's gorgeously sparkly and deeply textured up close, and really has the appearance of aged and painted wood!
if you want to make the wreath, here's a quick little video Stampin' Up made featuring Leanna, the original artist. The wreath takes 25 coffin boxes to complete.
What makes this wreath even funner (I know, I know, not a word) is that Penni's hubby Rob helped assemble the pre-cut coffin boxes. I love it when a craft project is something you can do together with family!
That wreath was the first thing Penni wanted to tackle this year. The first thing I wanted to work on was something with white pumpkins! I am totally all over the white pumpkin thing right now!
I started with the Harvest Hellos stamp set and coordinating Apple/Pumpkin punch (available bundled.) I tried stamping my "ghost" pumpkin in Memento Black so I could use Stampin' Blends to add the tinges of tan and green, and I also tried stamping it in Crumb Cake and watercoloring it to add those little bits of Sahara Sand and Soft Sea Foam. Either way works!
While I had everything out, I made a 12×12 scrapbook page with the same materials. I used the same scary trees mask with Shimmer Embossing Paste, and added a clever green-eyed kitty punch. My favorite part of the page is the knotted, tangled black twine tied around one of the photo mats. It looks like a cool cobweb!
Ok! Time for some fun and games!!
