Had a teeny amount of this Nursery Nest paper left with the birds from the Aviary stamp set all over it, so came up with this Back to School-themed scrapbook spread for Scrap A Stack Club last night. They loved it! They did wonder why the little birdies were all OUT of their cages, though??!! I said the birdies must be the MOMS, feeling like they have their freedom back after a long summer of entertaining little ones! : )
My favorite part of this page is the owl perched on the headline. That Owl Builder Punch is just the best. I am also really enjoying my new Timeless Type medium Sizzlet alphabet for the Big Shot. The letters are the perfect size. I am wondering how I got along for so long without this one!
TIP: here's a little goodie to remember for this times when you only have one of some special embellishment left and you want it to go to a good cause. Pair it with similiar items in different styles, and graduate down in size in a straight line. I had one Silver Glimmer Brad left, which wouldn't have given the page much punch by itself. But paired with a Printed Brad, an Old Olive brad and a silver Mini Brad, it became a fun motif.
More pages to come–I am two months behind in posting the SAS Club layouts and I know some of you have been itchin' for more scrappin' stuff!
