Baby Buttons

Just a quick card to share with you today from Calendar Club last night. I originally designed this as a gender-neutral baby card, but the soft and springy color scheme and cute button motif work for other occasions, too. I used So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi for this card, with Button, Button and A Word For You stamp sets.

What really makes it cute, though, is the Sweet Buttons embosslit for the Big Shot. I like using these because they add texture and embellishment without making the card so thick it has trouble going through the mailing machines at the Post Office. Is it just me or are they cracking down on embellishments lately? Anyway, these buttons add just one layer more of cardstock, and you can also minimize how much they stick up by attaching them with a mini glue dot instead of a dimensional.

That's it from me today… the rest of this week is all about the end of school for my kids, and getting ready for my two big Appreciation Events–hostesses on May 29th and customer friends on June 2nd. It wuld move things along if I could WALK in my stamp room right now!! There are boxes and BOXES of stuff I've pulled out for my giant Rubber Rummage the weekend of June 7-9. I have to move things or shift stacks to open any closet or cupboard. I will be so happy when all these goodies find new homes!
