My team and I had such a great time at the Stampin' Up convention in Orlando earlier this month! It was so exciting to be there with 6,000+ other demonstrators all learning together and making friendships. We got so much loot this year, I could barely get my suitcase closed, and Penni had to put some of my things in her second bag on top of that!
A record number of my team members attended OnStage, and the most downline members who have ever attended Centre Stage, too, which is a special leader-level event, held this year at Epcot. We had a fun poolside reception with cake and prezzies one of the evenings, so that our far-flung team could meet each other and get those long-anticipated hugs.
It was such an amazing time. I like to send a thank you note after each convention and cruise just to express my utter gratitude to be a part of this company and remind Shelli and Sara that what they do changes lives on a daily basis. It can be a little intimidating to send those two ladies a handmade card, as I'm sure you can imagine! But I know that they know it's not about the card itself… but what's inside.
I used the pen images from Crafting Forever and the balloon string from Balloon Celebration to be the "writing." I kept the notecard simple, although it does have glimmer on the pens, which I wish you could see because it's really ka-pow. But it's just a laid-back kind of card and one I know they will appreciate.
Who need a appreciative card from you today? What's stopping you from making that happen? It might help to go into it planning to make a notecard instead of a fancy card. Sometimes we just need to get outside our own heads, know what I mean?
