Sharing a few more pictures of my stamp room (you'll notice they are carefully selected areas and tightly cropped–that's because not more than one area of my stamp room ever looks this good at once!) because if you're like me, you're always looking for nifty storage and organizational ideas.
This window is the only one in my stamp room except a small stained glass one in the back door, so I wanted any treatment I used to let in lots of light. And right now some of you are gasping for air, unable to believe I have a cream colored room in my house–let me hasten to assure you that the lower half of the walls are Perfect Plum! This used to be the dining room and I had a grape theme going (hence the Perfect Plum and the stained glass grapevine window). It works for now, but watch out if I ever get my dream stamp room–it's really going to be something!
I thought this was a good time to post about getting a Christmas card holder/photo display rack for your stamp room, because a lot of these will be on sale this time of year. This long black wrought iron one is from Pier One and had a bazillion slots on each side. I only used about every third one for the cards. I was so tickled when I discovered it was just long enough to go over the window! And it makes a cute place to display some of the banners I have from various events–this one is from my 2010 Hostess Appreciation Event.
Stay tuned for a photo of how I organize my scraps–and a special offer on the units I use, so you can do yours that way, too! Happy Stamping!
This is SO nifty! I REALLY like this idea-maybe I will have to look for something like that for my crafty area 🙂
LOVE IT! Great way to display and a great window top cover-up! You are so clever!
