A card for my dear mom-in-law

DSCF2129
I am very excited about giving this card to Shirley for her birthday. She is the BEST mother in law a girl could ever have, and I am so thankful for her. She is one of those people for whom it is easy to buy presents and make things, because she loves color and pretty feminine stuff and appreciates the handmade and antique. We share a love of bumming around estate sales looking at vintage linens and pretty china.
So when my friend Jane came over to stamp and brought this Puns From the Past stamp set, I knew I needed to make one with this sewing machine image for Shirley. I already had this pretty Top Note die cut stamped with the Floral background stamp (retired now, sorry, ladies!) in my scrap bin, so it was a simple matter to gussy it up, embellish with faux stitching and ribbon, and add a little scallop of lace.
