Look at that fun shading and watercolor look going on! That's the Blender Pens for ya… I've recently rediscovered this inexpensive coloring tool and I'd forgotten how nice they are to use. Seaside Notions was a great choice for a little relaxing coloring, too.
I recently had to pick out a stamp set and color combo to use sight unseen! My Stampin' Up team holds a Mystery Stamp Night every month and Lynn T walked us through step by step from start to finish of a fun fold card without any knowledge of what the final product should look like. It was hilarious and fun!
And since we'd all used our own color combo and set without knowing what everyone else was using, they all turned out very different!
So I picked Seaside Notions since I really like it and hadn't had a good excuse to make beachy cards lately. I knew I wanted to incorporate some of the new In Colors, so I chose Just Jade and Cinnamon Cider, with Petal Pink (a light peach) as a go-between shade.
Here's my mystery card–next time I won't be so careless with the cuts!
…side view so you can see the fold….
…and here's another version of it where you don't cut the strips into little squares. It was so fun to see everyone's finished card. I've got some great color combo ideas to try now!
