I had so much fun playing with the Big Shot Matchbox die yesterday! I had seen the cute little dressers, so I wanted to make them, and along the way I had this idea for a teeny tiny purse (at the top in Bella Rose DSP). The handle is attached to the box part, not the lid, so when you slide the box open, the handle stretches out flat, and bounces back up when you close it. It keeps the box from sliding all the way out from the lid, too. Pretty clever, if I do say so myself!
I attached the ribbon handle with brads, then made a little purse flap out of Riding Hood Red cardstock and paper-pierced it for faux stitching. A Pretties Kit flower and clear rhinestone brad completed my purse! Can't wait to make these for a ladies' luncheon sometime down the road.
And here's a closeup of the two dresser ideas. Use lots of Sticky Strip and have lots of fun! I used the new BIG brads from Stampin' Up that I got for free in Hawaii for the handles and they're nice because they give you something to grip to pull the drawers out. Wouldn't this make an adorable Mother's Day gift or thrill a little girl's heart? You have GOT to get this die! Stay tuned for more adorable ideas I am collecting, including a list of more than 100 different things to do with this die.
Hi Lyssa! I love your litte dressers and the purse! I am not sure how the purse works but it would make a great wee gift! 🙂
