Baby Wipe Swipe Technique

DSCF2210
This card was part of the homework for our March Incredi-Cards Club. We learned several variations on the baby wipe/reinker technique including the "swipe," stripe made by wiping the baby wipe smoothly across the cardstock in one motion. You can easily make plaid by turning the cardstock and doing it the opposite direction.
So at the end of the meeting, after we all made our cards, I gave out the sample pieces of glossy white cardstock on which I had demo'd all the different variations on reinker swipes, and they each chose a piece to take home. Their goal was to turn it into a card or project and bring it back to the April meeting. I am SO sorry I didn't line them up and take a quick photo! They were SO creative with theirs!
Mine was this Tangerine Tango and Tempting Turquoise stripe, which easily lent itself to a fun card with some chipboard, the Define Your Life stamp set, and the adorable new flower brads I got in Hawaii.
The stripes take a slight turn for the Southeast as they near the bottom of the card, which looks kinds goofy, but hey, if there's no mistakes or imperfections whatsoever, how are people to know you handmade these lovely things? That's what I tell myself, anyway! (grin)
