Scallop Circle hostess gift albums

During Sale-A Bration I have a LOT of workshops–as many as three a week–so I get to do a lot more of one of my favorite parts of the "business" side of this hobby/job, which is making hostess gifts and door prizes, as I go through them like crazy!

These are a couple of mini scrapbook albums I made up using the Big Shot with the Scallop Circle die. I simply cut two covers from cardboard and double-sided paper for either side of that. Then I cut the pages. Everything totally matches because with the Big Shot, you get precisely the same cut the second, third, thirteenth or thirtieth time that you did the first time!

After that it was just a matter of putting the pages in the order I wanted them, punching through them in one "power tool rush" with the Crop A Dile, and setting a jumbo eyelet in the covers. I always want to crow like "Tim 'the Tool Man' Taylor" when I use the CAD!

Since I was using retired DSP for this one (Sweet Always, which they could bring back anytime and I'd be in hog heaven) I also used some of the "Flirty" ribbon out of the Clearance Rack on my shopping website: www.lyssa.stampinup.net Which yes, I bought just for the name. So there's velvet, ruffles and a cool crimped elasticy ribbon tied around the jump ring. Very fun assortment–go check it out!

So these albums are all ready to go, along with many other fun little things I've created for my next workshop. Hey, if it's not YOUR workshop, it could be! Call me today and we'll set a date for YOU to get Sale A Bration freebies and I promise you a hostess gift that will knock your socks off!

  1. What a great way to showcase SU!’s wonderful Designer Papers! I love how simple & quickly this project can be put together. How many inside pages did you include in each album? I have a couple of hostesses that will be excited to receive these, and if I get moving I could even make some to swap at the Syracuse, NY regional. Thank you for sharing!
