We had the best table companions on this trip. Unfortunately the waiter taking the photo cut off my mom on the right hand side here, but it shows the rest of us pretty well. Mary Fish, Martha Armstrong and Lisa Boatwright and their husbands sat with us every evening and it was really fun to get to know them and hear their take on current developments and their individual business philosophies.
Well, you know me… had to take pictures of the fantastic food! It was so PRETTY and so GOOD! I had escargot and caviar for the first time ever (escargot=yum; caviar=yuck!) plus lots and lots of shrimp, lobster, crab, and scallops to my heart's content. My mom can't do seafood because of the vitamin D, but she "made do" with prime rib, lamb, duck, Angus steaks, and all kinds of amazing pasta.
And the desserts, oh, the desserts…. well, this is making me feel less than contented about my lunch of cheese crackers and yogurt, so I'll move on… suffice it to say, I know now why people talk about the food first before anything else about a cruise! And we got so spoiled by the awesome service. I still wake up and think, dang it, I have to make my own coffee this morning!
Shelli looked so classy that night! She graciously posed with me before the piano concert that evening and spoke for a while with my mom. I am so blessed to have had this opportunity to introduce my mom to the people behind this amazing company that has radically altered my life for the better.
And then we came back to this awesome present! A clutch purse for us and a backpack for our guest.
