Have to share (now that I found out for sure I can) my VERY exciting news from last week. No, it's not the Alaska trip, although that WAS very exciting news from last week! This is different, something I had barely even let myself dream, it was so big. And once again, Stampin' Up makes a dream come true.
I've been proud of my business accomplishments. I work hard at the business side of this incredibly fun job, and the rewards have been SO sweet. But part of me always longed to be recognized for more than just being a decent business person, know what I mean? I'd love to be recognized for artistic abilities, too. But part of the reason I don't go blog-surfing very much is that there are sooooooo many more talented ladies out there than little old me, and I lose my nerve to submit to contests and try for the artistic awards!
Well, Shelli Gardner (pictured here with daughter Sara at the Workshop of a Lifetime) is apparently a fairy godmother in disguise, because….
I'm going to be the featured artist in the October issue of Stampin' Success magazine!!! I'll be sent a top secret stamp set from the next Holiday Mini Catalog and I have to create four extra-awesome projects for the spread (no pressure there). There will also be a picture of me and a little article. I am SO excited (the petrifying, mojo-killing fear has not seeped into my consciousness yet).
I think this calls for some Celebrating with a capital C! Don't you? I think that translates to "put in a gigantic new catalog order today when ordering begins at noon." : ) Ok! Don't have to tell me twice! Come to my new Katalog Kickoff party at 6:30 on July 9th and see all the fun prizes I awarded to myself.
