Inspiration while I’m painting

I'm busy painting my living room this weekend, but that's no reason to leave you sans stamping inspiration! Here's an easy and cool card I made with the Newsprint DSP and the Sense of Time stamp set. Part of those papers have an antique world map. On the other side is a musical manuscript. I just love that Newsprint DSP! Hope they make a My Digital Studio download of it soon!

Nothing fancy or time consuming, just good ordinary stamping and sponging… the base is Sahara Sand, topped with Basic Black and Very Vanilla and inks in those colors as well. I freehanded the strip after stamping the words.

Here's a quick, fun little coffee card inspired by a 1950's kitchen, that I created as the first project (I always keep it simple for the first one, in case there's newbies!) for a workshop last week. people who've never stamped before are always so impressed with wheeling…I love this Teacup wheel that matches the stamp set Morning Cup. I think the Basic Black narrow taffeta is very fun on this Daffodil Delight card. This color scheme is not for the fainthearted! It's much better with the softer yellow of Daffodil Delight, than the garish Yo Yo Yellow and Basic Black cards I used to see.

It's a long weekend! What will you be doing? Stamp something pretty and enjoy the day. This weekend is all about the house for me. I hope to spend a little time in the stamp room after I get it all squared away. I have three rooms to paint this weekend, several pieces of Decor Elements to put up, and the search for the perfect accent pillows is not over yet!

  2. I just took a break from painting to blog hop and see you are painting this weekend too. Although, we only had one (large) room to paint.
    Thanks for sharing.
