Here's a way to think out the box (pardon the pun) with the Scallop Envelope die for your Big Shot! Cut four of them of cardstock and cut off all the right hand side flaps. Attach them by the left hand side flaps in a long strip, then attach the fourth one back around to the first one. Fold the bottoms in and secure. I would do all this with Sticky Strip, because regular SNAIL is not enough for an object like this that will have pressure on it.
If you want a fancy bottom for your box, the Top Note, double-cut, is exactly the right size to have the pretty faux-stitched edge peeking out from around the perimeter. To double cut your Top Note, simply run it through the Big Shot the regular way, rotate it 90 degrees on the die and run it through again. You'll have a square now instead of a rectangle.
Decorate as desired–I used a "Scrunch Punch" paper flower (photo tutorial here) and some leaves from the Bird with Leaves XL punch, plus some of the yummy Chocolate Chip wide stitched grosgrain ribbon from the Clearance Rack. Speaking of which, if you haven't been to the Clearance Rack in a while, you are really missing out! You can view it here: www.lyssa.stampinup.net and click on Shop Now. The Clearance Rack is on the left hand menu–and be sure to change the "items per page" view to ALL–so you don't miss some of the goodies to be had!
What goes in this adorable box, you ask? Why CHOCOLATE, of course! Duh!
So pretty, Lyssa. These would look great at each place for Thanksgiving.
Love the simplicity of the design for this one, Lyssa! Very elegant! Hugs xxaxx
Well isn’t that just the most creative use for this die. I LOVE it! Thanks for sharing. It was so cute that I had to make one right away.
Just checked out the tutorial for the flower and you are laugh out loud funny. I am going to have to give this one a try.
