Founder’s Circle 2011 Welcome Dinner

Life is short–eat dessert first! Just got back from the Welcome Dinner and the First-Timers Talk tonight at Founder's Circle 2011 and I am tired but soooo happy! We had a Simply Scrumptious dinner of filet mignon finished off with Bananas Foster cheesecake–whoa!! Everything was so tasty. I had worked up an appetite taking pictures and chatting all day. Hard work, you know… here's my infamous food photos…

I poked my head out of the door and snapped this photo of the awesome lavender-colored sunset. The colors are so vivid here–the red-red of the rocks and the blue-blue of the sky. Hard to beat palm trees, too, but I am enjoying the different cacti and the Joshua trees–everything is very different here than in Wisconsin right now! A nice light rain came through in the afternoon and the air smells so clean and scented with woodsy spices now.

The lavender color was indoors, too, in the napkins and the gorgeous satin chair scarves, wound into ribbon roses. There were all different vintage vases filled with old-fashioned flowers like hydrangas and roses. We all got to take home our place cards, too, which were tucked into keepsake teacups full of pastel roses. I am loving this year's theme and all the fresh flowers!

We gave a standing ovation to the event staff ladies who have been working their aprons to the bone making this memorable for us. I hear they are busy resetting the dining room tonight into a Make N Take extravaganza for us. I can't wait!

Speaking of stamping, I can't show you what all was waiting for me on the pillow when I got back to my room, but suffice it to say you are ALL going to go bananas over the next Occasions Mini Catalog in January!!! You would think I'd be jaded after all the amazingness I have encountered today, but I was squealing like a stuck pig when I opened the box. WOWIE KAZAAM!!! I know ladies who have been dying for one of the things in particular who are going to be very happy now. How's that for a big tease?? Hee hee!!

Ok! Off to bed–what a crazy wonderful day! Gonna do the breakfast buffet, some hot-tubbing and some shopping tomorrow and then stamp ourselves silly. Check back for more Founder's fun!
