We had a blast at the SOMH Demonstrator meeting last night! I know I should space the three projects out over three days, but I can't resist showing them to you now. I am feeling very fond of all my lovely blog-followers right now! Thank you for the horde of appreciation you showed after my pity party post last week about not getting comments. Although, you know, you just rewarded me for being whiny–maybe not the best long-term strategy, eh? Kidding! I promise not to let it go to my head. In fact, it is very humbling, and it makes me want to do things like post even more often than I already do, to thank you for thinking my stuff is good enough to come back for more!
Sooo… without further delay, here are all three projects I designed for my Song of My Heart Demonstrators to make last night, all using the marvellous new In Colors, the new stitched satin In Color ribbons, new Designer Series Papers, and even a new Big Shot embossing folder! OOH and new Framelits–OOH and new stamp sets, too!!!
Here's the new Big Shot folder. Recognize the fancy fan pattern from the so-popular Twitterpated papers? And it's a new, larger size embossing folder! Awesome! I used the new Make A Cake stamp set with Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple inks, and a little dab of Baja Breeze, pulled from the new coordinating Patio Party Designer Series Papers I used for the banner pieces.
Here's the last one. I have to say I love this one the best. The stylized flowers from the new World Treasures stamp set are heat-embossed in Clear embossing powder on Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I used markers to ink the saying image, and then cut it out with my new Apothecary Accents Framelits! I matted that on a different Apothecary Accent Framelit and put it on top of the Internation Bazaar strip of Designer Series Papers. Then I added a Pool Party In Color Printed Brad with a twist of our new stitched narrow grosgrain ribbon in Daffodil Delight.
So there you go! I hope I have amply rewarded you for putting up with my whiny self and given you lots of excitement and inspiration for the day. Thanks again for all your kind comments.
So much fodder for my stamp desk!!! YAYY!!!! It is actually really pathetic that you NEED to have a pity party post now and then to remind us that if we don’t comment, you feel like you are all alone in blog land! OBVIOUSLY we LOVE you and don’t want you to feel alone 🙂 The last card is my favourite too, and I will definitely be CASEing, now that my goodies have arrived!!
I am so jealous that you have new product “in-house” & playing like a kid at the park. The cards are amazing with showcasing the many new products that we have to look forward to purchasing. TFS…
I want to come to your house and play with your stamps!
Lyssa, whenever I see your projects, you make me WANT to stamp (well, copy your stamping!)
I did NOT need World Treasures or the Keep Calm set … until now.
Consider your job done!
It will be a while before I get all these goodies for my very own. That new embossing folder is at the top of the wish list. In the meantime, I love the sneak peeks you’re giving us. I’m pretty sad about losing the 2010-12 In Colors, but I’m already in love with the new pinks and blue in this year’s batch. Thanks for using them on these cards. It’s nice to see them “in action”.
I LOVE the Keep Calm set as well. I actually noticed how perfectly the ink stamped off and wondered if you had seen the difference in using the new stamp pads. I’ve got a few things I need to go and stamp after seeing this post. Did you win the International Bazaar paper at DisneyWorld? I cannot wait to order it! 🙂 So fun to see it used already.
Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂
Off to stamp…
The team meeting was AWESOME as usual and it is so nice to have these fantastic samples to show! Thanks for letting us use your sneak peeks! Love it and LOVE having you for a friend!
Love your work, sorry for being a lurker for such a long time… x
I am a fellow demonstrator who LOVES all of your creations and who checks your blog daily. I love your style and I also love hearing about your family and the way SU! has changed your life. Thank you for all of the energy and time you invest in keeping all of those who follow your blog inspired. I especially appreciate that you only do free tutorials. Blessings to you!!
GORGEOUS cards! I got my box of new goodies yesterday, but haven’t had time yet to use them. Love the new colors!
Fab! Hope we get the Carry On hostess set as UK demos – after all this did originate from the UK in the first place! Nx
LOOOOOOOVE the “Keep Calm” set – I can’t wait to get mine 🙂 Your blog’s the only one I follow daily – you keep me motivated & I CASE you OFTEN 😉 But you will also be proud to know I am venturing into designing my own things, all because of something you posted once on (I think) your demo blog. Thanks, Lyssa!! You are my “long distance” stampin’ sister!!
Thanks for the sneak peeks! I am really liking the World Treasures set (even though it wasn’t on my original wish list). Great projects!
Very cool cards! Love seeing pictures of the new products!
I think whining is a very good trait in adult females. lol I really need to find a money tree so I can buy all the new fun stuff.
Beautiful cards Lyssa!
I hope the Keep Calm set comes out in Australia!! It is sooo cute!! I love all the new products and hope that they come out here. Love your blog too!!
Lovely cards!! I’m so excited about all the new stuff!! LOVING the new DSP!!! 🙂
Thanks for sharing these wonderful cards. I love visiting your blog daily to see what you do (and hopefully not get enabled to buy something I had convinced myself I didn’t want). I am so used to lurking but will try to comment more.
These are fabulous! But shame on you for adding more things to my wish list. LOL
