August 2012 Blog Series: 31 Pages in 31 Days

I just started Scrapbooking Summer School, and issued a big challenge to the members. Over the four week long series, we'll be creating around 20 pages, not including page elements and homework assignments. It's an intense set of four classes, designed to update their papercrafting repertoire with new, fresh looks and train them in the latest techniques and trends.

As a bonus, if they have fully completed 31 pages in the 31 days of August, they'll be getting a pack of Designer Series Paper AND have their favorite layout featured here on the Song of My Heart Stampers blog. They're excited about the challenge and so am I! I thought I should probably participate along with them, since I have been getting lots of individual trips digi-scrapped with My Digital Studio, but not too much done on my 12×12 family albums. You know the saying about the shoemaker's children having no shoes? Yep, that's me!

31 pages in 31 days? Sounded like the making of a blog series! So I'll be ATTEMPTING to produce 31 pages, one for every day of August. I hope you'll join me for this super-fun challenge!

Here's my first page… a quick Christmas layout. I got the new printed tags from the 2012 Holiday Catalog and they were sooooo adorable I had to play with them immediately!

See the pretty new snowflake? That's actually two parts of a brand new three-part snowflake die in the new Holiday Catalog. I love it! It is so versatile–use all three parts together, different combinations of parts, or just each part individually.

Ordering from the Holiday Catalog starts today! I put in a $300 order this morning, so you're way behind already! Better catch up : )  www.lyssa.stampinup.net

  1. Love that little owl! Included that set in my starter kit order this morning at 1:30 local time. They were picking it this morning when I woke up already so I can’t wait till next week! đŸ˜€

  2. You’ve inspired me to do some paper scrapping this month so I’m going to follow along with your sketches for this month if ya don’t mind. I’m in Canada (part of Desiree’s extended stamp family actually), so I’ll just follow through your blog….and I’ll “comment” my creations with each sketch.
You are an inspiration in so many ways, Lyssa – I read your demonstrator blog too.
Here is my page for this sketch…

It’s the third item on this post. This sketch was a perfect way to use up the leftover tags that I had!
