31 Pages in 31 Days: day seven

The girls in my Scrapbooking Summer School classes wanted to make sure we didn't do TOO many "girly pages," as some of them have grown kids or boys, so I'm getting all my PINK out on my own, doing the homework challenges! Are you joining us for the 31 Pages in 31 Days challenge? Be sure to leave a comment if you are playing along! And don't forget to let me know if you are local and would like to be on my mailing list so you get news about all the fun papercrafting events I have planned for this fall and winter!

Today's page–wow, Day Seven already!– IS indeed very girly… I took my inspiration from three identical pieces of Designer Series Paper from the Floral District collection, that I had leftover from a workshop card. The paper was busy and colorful–and put together two colors I never would have thought to pair! Calypso Coral and Rose Red? Really? But as you can see, they look great! I even worked in a little Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose in with the different sections on this layout. Somehow all the colors mesh. Hey, go big or go home, right?

So what do you think? Is there a color combo that has surprised you lately? Something that you saw that was just really striking? I'm always on the lookout for new combos–let me know if you've discovered a winner!

  1. Hi Lyssa! I am really enjoying seeing all of your scrap pages this month! I am a scrapbooker and love your style. Thanks so much for sharing! BTW-is that crystal effects on your title? Is it on top of stamped letters?
