Why you need the Big Shot Lattice die

Still in the middle of craft fair craziness… while organizing my stock into bins for last weekend's fair, I realized I did not have any quilt cards, and that will never do! They're one of my most popular designs! So I spent a fun couple of hours making a bunch of those with the Stampin' Up Lattice Bigz die.

I know I've showed you how to do these before, but to recap: these are made by running a couple of small-patterned Designer Series papers through the die (I used Comfort Cafe papers in this sample) and reassembling the lattice with alternating patterns. When you're all done, running it through the Big Shot again, this time with an embossing folder like the Sqaure Lattice one I use a lot, makes it look like it really is fabric.

When I was done with those, I had a couple extra of plain Very Vanilla lattices left over, so I made these simple and elegant wedding/anniversary cards.I love the tone-on-tone look with the slightly darker Confetti Cream card base.

Now, the Lattice die itself is a square, so I cut one in half and butted it up against a full one to get this rectangular lattice that covers the whole card front. The ribbon hides the seam quite nicely. You could also disguise the join with punched flowers or the Bird Builder punch, too.
