More Birthday Bash 2013 options for my ladies to make on the 5th! There are two spots left if you'd like to join us for a couple of hours while we whip out all the birthday cards needed for the whole year. Can you IMAGINE??!! How wonderful to have that task accomplished! This could be the year when you got everyone's card OUT and ON TIME! And you can take advantage of my (ahem) enormous collection of stamp sets and accessories to make cards for specific people–especially those hard-to-stamp-for people like husbands and grandpas!
Today I'm sharing more masculine/feminine cards and I'll just quickly point out some of the fun new items you'll be playing with shortly, from the Occasions spring catalog (ordering begins January 3rd). In this girly card above I used a Sale A Bration 2013 sneak peek stamp set called Vintage Verses (love the saying) and paired it with our new Pool Party Core'dinations cardstock (sanded after embossing with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions folder for the Big Shot). Sale A Bration ribbon in Island Indigo, some Basic Pearls (#119247), and a little of the new Flower Trim (squee!!) fancied it up quite nicely.
Now for the guy card… this will be perfect for a lot of the men in your life! For whatever reason, most guys love old machinery. I don't know why, but put one of the Zwolanek men in a junkyard or an old farm shed and they are just as happy as a clam. Whatever… as long as they don't try to bring them home and park them in my driveway : )
I used earthy colors of Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, and Naturals Ivory along with the Woodgrain stamp and some First Edition newsprint-themed Designer Series Paper (#121878) for this card. The embellishment is a twist of the new Natural Trim from the Occasions spring catalog, pinned with a tarnished safety pin from the Vintage Trinkets collection (#118764).
