It's finally starting to look more like spring around here, although it's still plenty chilly. Most of us have gotten out our spring coats even though we're still getting frost some mornings. What a long cold spring! I know one day we'll wake up and BAM it will be summer!
Yesterday we got word that one of my favorite coloring tools is being discontinued immediately due to "unforeseen issues with the manufacturer." BOO!! Bummed about that. I love the Watercolor Wonder Crayons and if you are looking for a gorgous, inexpensive and convenient way to have a lot of color right there at your fingertips in a single case not much larger than an ink pad, the WWC color collection sets of ten are a totally awesome way to go. You can see them here–but be warned, one family has already sold out and the others will follow shortly! Retirement is serious business around here!
So I thought I'd take a minute to share some more Pleasant Poppies cards I made the other day, since I used the Watercolor Wonder Crayons to paint them. I love the clean, minimalist one above. The polka dotted scallop ribbon on the one below may seem like an odd choice, but it really makes the red and black pop in real life.
You don't HAVE to color the poppies on this stamp, though! Here's a card I made without coloring:
I actualy like it best of all three! I used the polka dotted scallop ribbon on this card, too, do you see it? It is just peeking out from the bottom edge of the focal point piece. I positioned it so just one row of dots is showing. Another cute thing to do with ribbon! Click here to view all the colors this cute ribbon comes in!
You know, this stamp never jumped out at me … until I saw your last card. Love all of them, but especially the last one.
