My stamp room has been in utter chaotic upheaval since Tuesday noon. I packed up for stamp club for that night, rolled my bag out, and set to work… yes, I FINALLY got that room painted! The process of turning that old kitchen into a dedicated stamp room was such a gradual thing, I never consciously chose paint colors or decor. It just had the grapevine border, handpainted grapevine window, and Perfect Plum on the bottom and Very Vanilla on the top that it had when it was our kitchen. It feels good to have finally made it truly my own, eight years into my demo-hood.
So, three coats later (don't trust the clerk when they tell you to buy the fancy "one-coat" paint + primer combo!!) my room is a very up-to-date looking burlap color–actually pretty much the new In Color called Baked Brown Sugar, when you get right down to it!–and the antique woodwork is poppin' and the room actually looks larger to me. Of course, I did de-junk extensively, too!
Needless to say–there hasn't been a lot of actual stamping going on in there. I did get in to make some things last last night for my Hostess Appreciation Event next Tuesday, but I can't show you those! : ) So, I raided the Virtual New Catalog Share that some of us demos have arranged on Facebook, for some wonderful card photos. None of these were created by me. All of them use upcoming stamp sets, papers and accessories available to order on May 31st. If you don't have your new catalog yet–email me! Zwolaneks@att.net–and I'll get one right out to you. Enjoy these sneak peeks! More tomorrow!
These cards are so fun to look at! I am so excited for the new catalog! My copy is already quite worn and I am bursting with inspiration. The color of your stamp room sounds incredible. All my stuff is in a section of our back basement while my actual desk is in a corner of our basement family room but one day when all my girls are grown and gone I will have a stamp room……but it is okay with me if that day never comes 😉
